Troppa normalità e poche carnevalate, è questo il problema.

Ora, io lo so bene cosa vi aspettate da questo articolo. Già vi siete figurati davanti agli occhi il momento in cui, con una frase lapidaria, lascerò scoppiare la bolla di ironia e inizierò a insultare neri e gay. Perché gli immigrati sono troppi, non possiamo accoglierli tutti, non c’è lavoro, non sono risorse e le ONG fanno accordi con gli scafisti; e gli omosessuali? Vanno contro natura, ridurranno l’Italia peggio di Sodoma, danno scandalo in strada, sono volgari e mangiano i bambini. Ah no, quelli erano i comunisti. Scusate, non me la cavo troppo bene con gli stereotipi. Tornando a noi, il punto è che devo deludervi. Non lascerò scoppiare alcuna bolla di ironia perché in realtà non sono ironica. L’Italia ha bisogno di più stranieri sul serio e ci farebbe un sacco bene se ci fossero più omosessuali. Lo dice Richard Florida, professore della Carnegie Mellon University di Pittsburgh. Certo, al centro dei suoi studi ci sono gli Stati Uniti e non il Bel Paese ma, anche solo per provocazione, sarebbe interessante provare ad importare le sue teorie.

Secondo l’indice di diversità (Composite Diversity Index) da lui elaborato, le regioni in cui sono presenti più stranieri, più omosessuali e più artisti sono le più sviluppate dal punto di vista della creatività e dell’alta tecnologia.
